GROUND GAMES
The local fitness league for crews.
Join a Crew, show up to real-world events, record GPS-checked movement, and build your Ground Record.
HOW IT WORKS
Show up. Move. Leave something behind.
Find local people to move with, or start a Crew of your own.
Events give people a scheduled reason to gather and move.
GPS-checked movement can count when eligible.
Contribute to your Crew and Region, then keep the shared memory.
HOW SCORING WORKS
Distance sets the base. Pace shapes the score.
Ground Games V1 uses one transparent cardio formula. The server recalculates every accepted GPS activity from its saved distance and moving time before points count.
The pace curve
Values between anchors are interpolated and rounded to two decimal places.
| Average pace | Multiplier |
|---|---|
| 6:00 / mi or faster | 2.00× |
| 8:00 / mi | 1.60× |
| 10:00 / mi | 1.30× |
| 12:00 / mi | 1.00× |
| 15:00 / mi | 0.75× |
| 18:00 / mi | 0.50× |
| 22:00 / mi or slower | 0.25× |
See the math
Moving time: Average pace is moving minutes divided by miles, with a one-minute floor in the calculation.
Events: Event cardio uses the same formula. V1 has no Event scoring bonus.
Eligibility: GPS proof must be accepted before competitive consequences count. Local simulation does not score.
Authority: Submitted points are never trusted on their own. The server derives the official scoring receipt.
THE FOUNDING PLAYING FIELD
San Diego is where play begins.
Five Regions give local movement competition and context. Every boundary is visible, and every eligible effort has a place in the city around it.
WHAT THE APP HOLDS ONTO
The effort passes. The record remains.
Ground Games connects movement to a local group, a city Region, and a personal record without turning the experience into a generic fitness dashboard.
