Information you provide
- Account information, including email address and authentication data.
- Profile information, such as display name, city, crew identity, and profile details.
- Crew, event, RSVP, post, comment, like, report, and block activity.
- Information included in support requests or account-deletion requests.
Activity and location information
When you choose to record cardio and grant permission, Ground Games processes GPS coordinates, timestamps, accuracy, distance, duration, pace, route segments, and activity context. If you explicitly enable locked-screen recording on iPhone, location collection may continue during an active recording while the screen is locked.
Ground Games uses location to record the activity you start, generate route proof, calculate existing activity results, show Region context, and preserve your Ground Record. We do not use Ground Games as an emergency location service.
Device-local information
Ground Games may keep an active recording journal, raw GPS samples, preferences, cached app data, and an authentication session on your device. Raw recording samples are intended to remain local and are cleaned up after processing, discard, or confirmed account deletion. A processed route preview and activity result may be saved to your account.
How we use information
- Provide authentication, onboarding, crews, events, RSVP, cardio recording, points, Region context, Crew Wall memories, and Personal Ground Records.
- Maintain account, activity, and social integrity and prevent duplicate or abusive actions.
- Process reports, enforce Community Rules, and support blocking controls.
- Respond to support, privacy, safety, and account-deletion requests.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Ground Games.
When information is visible to others
Your profile identity, crew membership, RSVP presence, event-host information, and shared Crew Wall content may be visible to other authorized users depending on the surface. A crew activity memory may include activity statistics and a processed route preview. Blocking hides supported Crew Wall content and limits new social interactions, but it does not necessarily remove shared crew membership or event attendance visibility.
Service providers
Ground Games uses service providers to operate the app, including Supabase for authentication and data storage, Expo/EAS for app delivery and updates, and platform mapping and location services supplied by Apple, Google, or the device operating system. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.
Data retention
We keep account and activity information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Reports and limited security records may be retained as needed for safety, abuse prevention, legal compliance, and dispute resolution. Device-local recording data is retained only as needed to finish, recover, or discard a recording.
Your choices
- Decline location permission and avoid GPS recording.
- Use foreground-only recording if background permission is declined.
- Delete or hide supported activities from your Personal Activity Record.
- Report content or members and manage blocked members.
- Delete your account through Account & Privacy or request deletion through our web instructions.
Children and teenagers
Ground Games is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users aged 13 through 17 should use Ground Games only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child under 13 provided information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it.
Security and international use
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Ground Games is operated from the United States. If you use it elsewhere, information may be processed in the United States or where our providers operate.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. Material changes will be reflected by a new “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, an in-app notice.
